Susan Pierce
Susan Pierce is a New Brunswick artist residing in Fredericton since 1998.
Born in Vermont, she spent many hours in the studios of Gandy Brodie, Roy
Mandell, and Bob Watrous and began drawing, watercolor painting, and
sculpting after moving to Nova Scotia as a teenager.
She discovered oil
painting during an evening workshop at the Beaverbrook Art
Gallery in 2006 and is currently a student of Glenn Priestley.
She has also studied under Danny Price, Cora Woolsey, Denise Richard and
Sarah Petite.
Susan has lived in and traveled through most of Canada
including the far North and finds inspiration in the beauty and diversity of
our culture and landscape. She is deeply moved by people’s connection to our
world and each other and is grateful to have an opportunity to express
it.
Her work can be found in collections across Canada and in the United
States.
